There is only rule of Pizza Club: No self-promotion talks about work. 🚫
Pizza Club L.A. is not a 501(c)3 recognized organization, but it is a not-for-profit event. It has no cost for membership, though you generally will have to chip in and buy a slice.
We try random pizza shops all around the Greater Los Angeles area. That's all.
Yes, it's much greater than your Club. We've known this for a while.
The only rule was put into place as a way to really get to know friends and colleagues.
This doesn't mean that you shouldn't say anything about your job; it does mean talking about your self-indulgent, all-encompassing career while eating together is a bit rude. Get a life!
Tell us about your upcoming hobby adventure or your next vacation plans!
UPDATE:
It has come to Pizza Club's attention that some of you have absolutely no clue about how to engage others properly.
So without further ado, here are socially acceptable ideas for your attendance of a Club meeting.
5 THINGS TO ASK ABOUT WHILE EATING FOOD AT A TABLE WITH OTHERS:
Do you have a pet walrus? Why or why not?
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Did you try the anchovy pizza? Why or why not?
Wanna come to a party this weekend? Why or why not?
Have you ever been to a professional wrestling event? Why or why not?
Stop talking like you are a "big cheese".* Stop talking about how much more money you could get. No one cares. Just breathe, dude. Take the time and enjoy the pizza.
Respectfully,
Management
